We're now in October 2019. I can't believe we're coming to the end of a decade. I had some amazing opportunities since launching my business. I've presented to Interop - a brilliant group of IT Professionals, launched a non-profit organization named "Courage in Conflict" that educates teenagers and young adults on conflict resolution, and trained more than 1,000 women on speaking up in their personal and professional lives. I'm truly blessed.
I recently took time to sit with my thoughts, practice self-care the best I knew how and sort out what it is that I want and more importantly, what role do I want to play in supporting people overcome conflict. My heart has always been to help people resolve conflict - whether personal or professional, whether deep-rooted or simple - I've always wanted to bring forth harmony as much as possible. Harmony looks different to different people and circumstances.
I took some time away from Avinu Consulting to really sit and think about what made the most sense for me. It was also an opportunity to make major changes in my life, such as relocating to a new city with my family and supporting my DH with the relaunch of his business, Water Ping.
With 2020 right around the corner, I'd like to announce two important things:
New Name, Same Game: I want my message to be very clear - that women need to resolve in order to win. Resolve in their minds, hearts and spirits that they will keep move forward. Resolve those internal issues that may be weighing them down. Resolve those cracks and bends in their relationships and change their family trees. The new name is: We Resolve to Win, housed under the umbrella of Avinu Consulting.
Podcast Launching: I have always wanted to be a podcast host. I've been on a podcast once and it was a wonderful experience. There is so much to be said about resolving conflict, communication and grit and I want to effectively reach a wider audience. The podcast, "We Resolve to Win" will release its first episode in the next 30 days. I have a line up of amazing women that I can't wait to share. Stay tuned!
So I write all that to say, thank you. Thank you for the feedback, the encouragement and sticking with me. The ride is going to go faster with lots of dips and curves but hang on tight, it will be amazing.
